Day 0 - Departure
[28th June]
We reached Perth International Airport after a 5-hour flight from Singapore.
Our first order of business was acquiring the Transperth SmartRider card, similar to the EZ-Link card, to facilitate our transportation.
From there, we made our way to Fremantle, although we encountered a slight confusion regarding the correct stop to disembark while changing lines.
Eventually, we realized that trains from different lines shared the same platform but had staggered schedules.
After approximately an hour, we finally reached Fremantle, only to notice that the majority of stores had already closed by 5:30 PM .
Fortunately, the receptionist at our hotel, Quest Fremantle, was incredibly friendly and offered us some fantastic Western cuisine suggestions. They highly recommended Benny's Bar and Cafe for their delectable Surf and Turf dishes.

Day 1 - Fremantle
[29 June]
We dedicated the entire day of June 29th to exploring Fremantle.
Our accommodation near the coast made it convenient to reach all the places we wanted to visit.
Our first stop was Bather's Bay , where we were greeted by a multitude of birds—Xian's sworn enemies, as it turned out!
Since the Fremantle Market was closed on Thursdays, we decided to explore other tourist attractions in the area.
We made our way to the WA Maritime Museum and
Fremantle Prison , both of which offered intriguing insights into the city's history.
As tourists, we made sure to visit some instagram-worthy spots. The Tourist's Wheel and The Containbow ,
a vibrant rainbow-themed attraction, were among the highlights of our sightseeing adventure.

Day 2 - Rottnest Island
[30th June]
Celebrating Xian's birthday on Rottnest Island was one of my favorite days.
We took a ferry from Fremantle to reach the island, purchasing our tickets from Rottnest Express, which also included bike rentals.
Exploring Rottnest Island on bicycles was a delightful way to discover its beauty.
They say it's home to the largest Quokka population in Australia, and we had the pleasure of spotting many of these adorable creatures. We even had the chance to feed one of them with leaves.
After bidding farewell to Rottnest Island, we headed back to Fremantle. We made a stop at the popular Fremantle Markets , which only open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, to soak up the lively ambiance.
As the day drew to a close, we traveled to Perth, eagerly looking forward to the adventures that awaited us the next day.

Day 3 - Caversham Wildlife Park
[1st July]
Today, we had the pleasure of visiting Caversham Wildlife Park , where we were treated to a delightful encounter with some iconic Australian animals.
Koalas and Kangaroos were the stars of the show, and we couldn't resist getting up close and personal with them.
Xian fed a Kangaroo and her hands were filled with remnants of its saliva. She also got chased by baby Goats and a huge Turkey .
The interactive farm show was entertaining and educational. We witnessed the fascinating process of Sheep getting their wool shaved and participated in the milking of Cows .

Day 4 - Wave Rock
[2nd July]
We embarked on a day trip from Perth to Wave Rock, with a stopover in York , which is renowned for its historical significance and well-preserved architecture. We took a few pictures there.
Afterward, we continued our journey eastward to Wave Rock . As the name suggests, it resembled a gigantic breaking wave.
To conclude the day, we were delighted to enjoy the delicious Chicken Parmigiana from the Holiday Inn's Room Service .

Day 5 - The Pinnacles
[3rd July]
Our journey begins in the morning from Perth, for our 3D2N trip.
Our first stop was Lake Thetis , home to the intriguing stromatolites, Earth’s living fossils.
Next, we then had lunch at Lobster Shack . Yingxian ate both the lobsters and that was her best meal in Perth.
Feeling full and satisfied (esp. Yingxian), we continue our journey to Nambung National Park - Pinnacles Desert .
We wandered around the desert and took many photos by using the limestone formations as phone stand.

[4th July]
Finally the day to see the pink lake. The Hutt Lagoon (Pink Lake) was a mesmerising sight.
After taking many photos of the lagoon, we went to Kalbarri National Park - and even swung by the Z-Bend Lookout to see the river from another angle.

Day 7 - Greenough
[5th July]
On our way back to Perth, we made a pitstop in Greenough , and strolled through the historical village.
We went past the HMAS Sydney II Memorial and braved the rain to take some photos there.
For lunch, we stopped by the Central Greenough Cafe. There were many Alpacas there and we got to feed them.
Ending the 3D2N trip, we went sandboarding at the Lancelin Sand Dunes - the wind there was super strong.

Day 8 - King's Park & Elizabeth Quay
[6th July]
Back to spend time in Perth, we went to the top tourist spots - King's Park and Elizabeth Quay.
King's Park was huge and we walked on several trails. We also stop by the Blue Boat House to take some photos like an influencer.
At night, we dropped by Elizabeth Quay and it was freezing.
We ended the day at Perth Yagan Square, where all the shops were closed. We told ourselves to be back earlier the next day.

Day 9 - Shopping & Back to SG
[7th July]
In the morning, we visited SciTech , a science center. However, it turned out to be more suitable for kids and didn't meet our expectations.
We then proceeded to Watertown Outlet Mall for some shopping, where we picked up shoes and clothes.
Afterward, we returned to our hotel and headed to the airport. Along the way, we made a stop at another outlet mall, DFO Perth . Unfortunately, there wasn't much to see as most items were too expensive, and many shops were closing. To make matters worse, it started raining on our way there.
With heavy but satisfied hearts, we began our journey back to Singapore .
